Upstairs in Kings Heath?

Amazing food and friendly staff

This weekend we took a drive to Kings Heath to have breakfast at Upstairs above Grace & James. We have seen so many amazing photos of the food produced there that we just had to visit. A big mention to Galina and Gareth of @Birmingham__eat (over on Instagram) who spotted use wondering around in the cold trying to find the entrance, many thanks for the guidance 🥰 x

As you guested Upstairs feels like a lovely little secret gem of King Heath hidden amongst the shops of Grace & James and Poli two more amazing places to eat.

Upstairs serves breakfast, lunch and dinner and even an amazing looking Sunday lunch, which we must try next. We highly recommend a trip to York Street to try out Upstairs, Grace & James, Poli and Flock coffee 🥰

We really want to show of these madeleines, you can get 6 or 12 for £6/£10. We had these after our breakfast with another coffee. They are baked fresh and take about 15mins, which is amazing. For our main breakfast we had Guinness and Lincolnshire poacher rarebit with house brown sauce and the beef fat hash brown with black pudding and duck egg, both cost around around £10. Everything tasted phenomenal but the rarebit was top notch.

Upstairs in Kings Heath on York Rd was fantastic, we highly recommend that everyone visits at least once for breakfast. we will definitely be visiting again soon with friends.
