Toffs on Drury Lane

Did someone say fine dining in Solihull? Well you are in luck, welcome to @toffsbyrobpalmer @chefrobpalmer was a Michelin Chef over at the amazing @hamptonmanor leading Peels restaurant to their first Michelin star in 2016 and 4 AA Rosettes.

Rob and his wife had a dream and decided to open a new restaurant in Solihull with the potential to become Solihull first Michelin Starred restaurant. You can tell they have poured their hearts and souls in to this venture. The restaurant looks fantastic with amazing staff and talented chefs like @benjperks22 Toffs sous chef.

Toffs was named after Rob’s Dad who was known by all as toffee. This is a lovely dedication and you get a little treat at the end of your meal based on this detail.

The tasting menu at Toffs comes as a 5 course at £69 or 7 course at £89 with an added cheese course for £10. Now, of course we went for the seven course with one added cheese serving. We would personally advise with the current menu to go for the 5 course over the 7 and spend the saving on more wine and gin 🥰

The current menu is a little fish heavy along with 2 duck courses. So make sure you like cod skin, monkfish, prawns and scallops. All the food was very good, interesting and filling. Toffs should definitely be worth a visit on your next special night out. Toffs has a large range of wine on offer but unfortunately only one gin but it is a very tasty Sip Smith.

Our favourite dishes where the interesting duck offal doughnut and the rhubarb vanilla dessert.

Tbh the Colsten Basset Cheese was very tasty, I would love a small wheel of it in my fridge.
