44 cafe, Bar & Bistro by Windmill Brewery
Have you been looking for a new bar/bistro in Leamington Spa, maybe with live music, comedy and entertainment? Yes? that’s great to hear; then look no further than 44 Cafe, Bar and Bistro @44_cafe_bar_bistro This cafe/bar is situated in the centre of Leamington so very easy to access and has lots of road side parking nearby. This lovely little place is owned and run by the guys behind Windmill Hill Brewing Company @Windmill Hill Brewery based in Leamington Spa, Warwickshire.

There is a separate restaurant area to enjoy your food which you can then switch to some more cosy chairs to watch the music or comedy. The ambiance is welcoming as are the staff. The tapas was very tasty (really recommended!) and the wings just so easily fell apart. Portions and flavour were very favourable in these dishes. The burger was a double patty and generous serving dish; it was fresh and delectable, the only thing was the american sliced cheese was not melted enough for me. The pizza was not the best, the meatballs were too chunky and needed to be broken down, yes, I asked for no soft cheese and they didn’t have an alternative (I can’t have soft cheese!) but it was lacking flavour in general. As I mentioned before the portions are generous and we unfortunately didn’t have room to try out any of the desserts. Overall, the menu is a good price point and for the majority good food with a great environment. Personally, I would go back for the tapas, beer/cocktails and the entertainment.
The menu is all cooked fresh on site with meat from Hilltop farm, a local Leamington based farm, check them out here. 44 Cafe serves a wide range of dishes that will suit majority of people and options from a selection of tapas, burgers, steak and hand thrown pizzas. There are always some great deals on food from 2 for 1 pizzas every Wednesday, any three tapas & a drink for £15 everyday, 2 for 1 cocktails & cava, a cake and coffee for £6, beer & burger every Monday for £9.99 and steak night with a beer for £16 on Thursday.
44 cafe, bar & bistro can be found at 44 Clarendon Street, Leamington Spa, Warwickshire, CV32 4PE. They are open Wed + Thurs 11am-10pm, Fri + Sat 9am-Midnight and Sun + Mon 12pm-8pm.
44 Cafe, Bar & Bistro serve a whole range of drinks from cider by Henry Weston, beers by Windmill Hill and a load of cocktails/coffees.
Windmill Hill also sell a range of beers that can be bought from their website and a range of physical locations. You can also book tours of the brewery and beer tasting evenings. Check out our 5L mini keg from Windmill Hill that we got our hands on last summer, was perfect for our garden parties and BBQs.
